In reply to Lisa. Eating alone was always something I didn't love when I first solo traveled, but now I love it! I just have something to do when I am there. Usually, I am editing my photos or researching what I am going to do the next day. A pool is great! Although, I spent all my time at the beach. I would highly suggest wherever you stay, be in the center of town. If you are new to solo travel, you want to be close to town, so you don't feel secluded. I made that mistake in Sorrento, Italy. I had to take a bus to town daily.

Currently dipping my toes into solo travel and wondered how you found eating alone, especially for dinners, in Chania? Currently tossing up between staying in a hotel that has a pool to lounge around or an Airbnb that has a kitchen. Thank you! x

One could probably spend many vacations trying to explore all of the Greek Isles. This looks like another fantastic one. I appreciate your overview of the beaches, food, day trips, and places to stay.

I loved Crete, too, and am so looking forward to going back. The Knossos Palace is amazing, but I also really enjoyed the many treasures excavated from there that are now in the Heraklion Museum of Archaeology. The Samaria Gorge is a phenomenal hike! So beautiful. Glad you had such a wonderful time.
